Leftover wine? Never heard of it. But if you have, then this bottle stopper is for you!

I came across a set of three furniture legs at a sale and wondered what they would look like when turned. Upon getting past the stained portion it became clear that it was four pieces glues together, which is what gives this stopper the coloring.  A spiraling tool was used to put some decorative grooves throughout the piece. There are some chips along the top edge of the UFO shape where the tool dug a little too deep, but let’s just attribute that to the minor imperfections of hand crafted work, shall we?

The stopper has been finished with a combination of ca glue and mineral oil, giving it a finish that will last a lifetime.
