This small bowl is made from a piece of Robinia psuedoacacia, also known as black locust. It was an interesting piece to turn, and unfortunately I got a little aggressive with it and cause it to break apart. The black line you see on the piece is the repair made with black CA glue. It’s an interesting little accent if you ask me.

One fun fact about black locust is that is fluoresces under black light! I’ve added a few pictures in case you don’t believe me.
