When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. This is why this silver maple bowl is named “Lemonade #1” in my new and unexpected series, “Lemonade”

This bowl ended up being the victim of a hidden crack, but I liked the grain so much I kept on going to finish it out. Three lines are carved into the side for extra effect.

And to make it properly lemon colored, all the broken areas and the cuts after have been painted with “amber turn signal” model paint.

The piece is food safe, but probably better suited as a catch-all dish or art piece instead of a snack mix bowl.
