One of my earlier pieces, this little catch-all bowl is made from a local piece of crepe myrtle (just a few doors down to be exact) and has some cool features. If you were to divide the bowl into quadrants and look at the sides you would get one perfect curve, one side with bark, one side slightly rough from the saw and colored by the elements, and one side smoothed out flat where the saw cut. The add to the uniqueness of the piece, the bottom has another bark inclusion as well as a small pedestal that elevates the bowl slightly.
