Good things come in small packages, and this little bowl made from bradford pear is no exception
This bit of bradford pear gave me no end of trouble while I was turning it. Originally intended on being much larger, the tenon broke, causing the bowl to fly off and break in two. The squiggly black stripe running through the bowl is that break. In the end I think it turned out to be an interesting feature. Adding to the interesting features is an experimental soft texturing in the bottom of the bowl.
Finished with Odie’s Oil, a mixture of tung oil, orange oil, and waxes, it is food safe and ready to go.
